meet: Kyle Bland
Kyle Bland - Financial Advisor
I am a financial advisor who partners with wellness-focused individuals to design wealth strategies that support a life of vitality, purpose, and longevity.
I collaborate with functional medicine doctors, longevity/performance clinics, and at-home tools/services to determine your unique health profile. Along with these biomarker diagnostics, I assess each client’s financial well-being and help them navigate their specific challenges and achieve goals.
With a deep appreciation for the science of human optimization, I bring a unique perspective to financial planning—one that prioritizes long-term healthspan as much as wealthspan.
Traditional retirement models often assume a max life span of 80 years. Let’s think bigger: 100 years and longer! A former engineer turned advisor, I combine data-driven insights with a personalized planning process tailored to clients who think beyond these traditional retirement models.
For example, I help longevity-focused clients understand:
How can one plan for 30-40 years of retirement, instead of the traditional 20-30?
What is the optimal age to start social security?
Are annuities a viable option? What is the life-expectancy break-even?
How to fund long-term care?
As an avid financial independence enthusiast, I also greatly enjoy helping clients reclaim their time and freedom through sound money management practices. We only have so much time on this planet! You should be able to invest your time in the things that matter to you the most.
Beyond advising clients, I like to hang out with my wife and two young children. Our family enjoys living an active lifestyle, taking advantage of the many outdoor activities West Michigan offers. We are involved in church where I teach semi-annual personal finance classes for high school students.
I am grateful to have a flexible schedule and remote working capability that allows capacity to:
Prepare healthy meals on a consistent basis
Get a solid daily workout in
Take the kids to the park on a random Tuesday afternoon
Travel for weeks or months at a time to create lasting memories
Because what good is money if you don’t have the energy to maximize it, the time to enjoy it, or loved ones to share it with?
Rich enough to live where you want, to go where you want, to do what you want, to meet who you want. Rich enough to buy the only two things apart from health and love worth fussing about in life. Time. And the option of not having to be in any particular place on any particular day doing any particular thing in order to pay the rent or the mortgage.
Felix Dennis, How to Get Rich
